EFFECT OF CEMENT ON THE VARIATIONS IN STRENGTH OF READY-MIXED CONCRETE
RESULTS OF TESTS ON CONCRETE AND CEMENT DATA COLLECTED OVER THE LAST TREE YEARS ARE USED TO PRESENT A QUANTITATIVE EVALUATION OF THE PART PLAYED BY CEMENT IN THE STANDARD DEVIATION IN THE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE. ATTENTION IS DRAWN TO THE FACT THAT THE WATER REQUIREMENTS OF CEMENT SHOW SEASONAL VARIATIONS WHICH INCREASE THE SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN THE CONCRETE STRENGTH; CEMENT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PRACTICALLY ALL SEASONAL VARIATIONS IN CONCRETE
