A METHOD FOR ULTIMATE STRENGTH DESIGN OF RECTANGULAR REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS IN COMBINED TORSION, BENDING AND SHEAR
AN ANALYSIS OF THE DISTRIBUTION OF FORCES IN RECTANGULAR REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS LOADED IN PURE TORSION HAS BEEN GIVEN ELSEWHERE. IN THIS PAPER THE ANALYSIS IS EXTENDED TO BEAMS WITH WEB REINFORCEMENT SUBJECTED TO COMBINED TORSION, SHEAR AND BENDING. A COMPARISON IS MADE BETWEEN THE NON-DIMENSIONAL INTERACTION DIAGRAMS DERIVED THEORETICALLY AND THE AVAILABLE RESULTS OF TESTS. FINALLY, A PROPOSAL IS PUT FOREWARD FOR DESIGN EQUATIONS BASED ON THESE DIAGRAMS. /AUTHOR/
