THE RECOMMENDATIONS ARE INTENDED PURELY AS ADDITIONS TO CONCRETE REGULATIONS TO EXTEND THEIR APPLICABILITY TO COVER STRUCTURAL LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE CONCRETE. THEY APPLY EXCLUSIVELY TO CONCRETE CONTAINING EXPANDED CLAY AS LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE. THE RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERN THE MANUFACTURE AND HANDLING OF CONCRETE, DEFORMATION PROPERTIES, DESIGN OF STRUCTURES OF LIGHTWEIGHT AGGREGATE CONCRETE, AND COVER AGAINST AGGRESSIVE ENVIRONMENT.
