PROPERTIES OF CONCRETE WITH CEMENT CLINKER AGGREGATE
CONCRETES PREPARED WITH UNHYDRATED CEMENT CLINKER SUBSTITUTED FOR THE COARSE AND/OR FINE NATURAL AGGREGATE SHOWED IMPROVED COMPRESSIVE, FLEXURAL, AND TENSILE STRENGTHS. CEMENT CLINKER HYDRATED ONE DAY PRIOR TO USE AS AGGREGATE RESULTED IN REDUCED CONCRETE STRENGTHS. EXPANSION UNDER WATER AND SHRINKAGE IN A 50 PERCENT RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS GREATER FOR CONCRETE MADE WITH UNHYDRATED CEMENT CLINKER AGGREGATE. DURABILITY IS APPROXIMATELY EQUAL FOR NON-AIR- ENTRAINED CONCRETE MADE WITH EITHER NATURAL OR UNHYDRATED CLINKER AGGREGATES. /AUTHOR/
