STRENGTH OF CONCRETE UNDER COMBINED STRESS
MEASUREMENTS OF THE STRENGTH OF CONCRETE UNDER CONVENTION- AL TRIAXIAL COMPRESSION, "EXTENSION", AND TENSION PLUS BIAX- IAL COMPRESSION ARE DESCRIBED. THE CONCRETE SPECIMENS HAD A WATER/CEMENT RATIO OF 0.47 AND AN AGGREGATE/CEMENT RATIO OF 3.9, AND WERE TESTED IN A MOIST CONDITION AT FOUR AGES, 7, 14, 28 AND 56 DAYS. RELATIONS ARE GIVEN FOR THE DEPENDENCE OF THE FAILURE STRESSES OF THE PARTICULAR CONCRETE TESTED UPON (1) THE APPLIED STRESSES AND THE SPECIMEN AGE AND (2) THE APPLIED STRESSES AND THE COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF THE CONCRETE AT ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE. /TRRL/
