USE OF WASTE GLASS AS AGGREGATE FOR PAVEMENT MATERIAL
THE PRELIMINARY FINDINGS RESULTING FROM THE INSTALLATION OF PAVEMENT TEST SECTIONS IN TOLEDO ARE PRESENTED. THEY TEND TO INDICATE THAT IT IS FEASIBLE TO USE WASTE GLASS AS AGGREGATE IN ALL OF THE VARIOUS LAYERS OF A FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT SECTION AND ACHIEVE RESULTS WHICH ARE COMPARABLE TO FLEXIBLE PAVEMENTS CONSTRUCTED SOLELY WITH CONVENTIONAL AGGREGATES. IT IS QUITE EVIDENT, HOWEVER, THAT ADDITIONAL EXPERIMENTATION, ANALYSIS AND TESTING IS NECESSARY.
