BITUMEN ENRICHMENT
BITUMEN ENRICHMENT REFERS TO THE PROCESS OF SPRAYING A MIXTURE OF BITUMINOUS EMULSION AND WATER ON A SEALED PAVEMENT THAT HAS NO COVER AGGREGATES. THE USE OF THE PROCESS IN THE VARIOUS AUSTRALIAN STATES IS SUMMARIZED AND THE METHODS USED AND RESULTS OBTAINED IN LOCKHART SHIRE OVER A PERIOD OF TWELVE YEARS ARE DESCRIBED. CONCLUSIONS ARE DRAWN AS TO DESIRABLE MIX PROPORTIONS AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES UNDER WHICH THIS PROCESS IS OF VALUE. /AUTHOR/
