DESIGN OF COMPOSITE BRIDGE BEAMS FOR LONGITUDINAL SHEAR
THE ORIGIN OF THE DESIGN METHODS FOR LONGITUDINAL SHEAR IN THE BRITISH CODE OF PRACTICE FOR COMPOSITE BEAMS FOR BRIDGES IS EXPLAINED. PROPOSALS ARE MADE FOR THE REVISION OF THESE METHODS IN ACCORDANCE WITH RECENT RESEARCH, AND FOR THEIR PRESENTATION IN TERMS OF LIMIT STATE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY.
