WARM-OVERLOADING CAN REDUCE THE RISK OF BRITTLE FRACTURE IN STEEL STRUCTURES. THIS PAPER PROVIDES GUIDELINES ON THE USE OF THIS TECHNIQUE FOR BRIDGE STRUCTURES.
