DETERMINATION BY COMPUTER OF REINFORCEMENT IN BOX-GIRDER BRIDGES
A METHOD OF ANALYSIS IS DESCRIBED WHICH MAY BE USED TO DETERMINE THE TRANSVERSE STEEL REINFORCEMENT REQUIRED FOR PRESTRESSED CONCRETE BOX GIRDER BRIDGES BASED ON FOLDED PLATES. THE METHOD OF ANALYSIS WAS EVOLVED DURING THE DESIGN OF THE 11-SPAN UNDERPASS AT GIPSY CORNER ON WESTERN AVENUE, LONDON. A COMPUTER PROGRAM IS USED TO DETERMINE THE QUANTITY AND POSITION OF THE REINFORCEMENT REQUIRED FOR VARIOUS LOADING CONDITIONS. /TRRL/
