Steering angle variability was slightly correlated with LF, HF, and LF/HF ratio (r?>?0.16), but brake and speed variability were not associated with physiological outcomes. In conclusion, the subjective workload was higher in simulated work zones and under higher traffic density, but heart rate measures were largely unaffected.]]> Wed, 01 May 2019 09:34:55 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1601810 How much is too much on monitoring tasks? The values of estimated average excess risk indicated that hearing damage of professional drivers was expected to occur sooner at 3 and 4 kHz frequencies than losses at lower frequencies. It was concluded that the occupational hazards of professional driving significantly increased hearing threshold levels of drivers as compared to office workers. This study emphasizes the need to periodically check professional driver's hearing to determine their auditory threshold shift or excess risk, especially those working in noisy environments. It highlights an urgent need to take up some interventions to reduce the harmful effect of loud traffic noise to drivers exposed to noisy environment in populated cities.]]> Fri, 19 Feb 2010 10:56:56 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/912856 Non-Linear Dependency of the Subjective Perceived Intensity of Steering Wheel Rotational Vibration https://trid.trb.org/View/912857 Fri, 19 Feb 2010 10:56:50 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/912857 Alcohol Effects on Navigational Ability Using Ship Handling Simulator https://trid.trb.org/View/849804 Wed, 27 Feb 2008 08:58:40 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/849804 Long-Term Effects of Training in Economical Driving: Fuel Consumption, Accidents, Driver Acceleration Behavior and Technical Feedback https://trid.trb.org/View/838844 Mon, 22 Oct 2007 14:56:30 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/838844 A Human Factors Study on a Modified Stop Lamp for Motorcycles https://trid.trb.org/View/811351 Fri, 29 Jun 2007 07:35:24 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/811351 Ergonomics of Steering Wheel Mounted Switch-How Number and Arrangement of Steering Wheel Mounted Switches Interactively Affects Performance https://trid.trb.org/View/805473 Fri, 30 Mar 2007 07:48:26 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/805473 Evaluation of Legibility of Not Properly Reflecting Signs https://trid.trb.org/View/805476 Fri, 30 Mar 2007 07:48:25 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/805476 Electroencephalographic Study of Drowsiness in Simulated Driving With Sleep Deprivation https://trid.trb.org/View/805475 Fri, 30 Mar 2007 07:48:25 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/805475 Passenger-Side Rear-View Mirrors: Driver Behavior and Safety https://trid.trb.org/View/798304 Tue, 30 Jan 2007 13:28:10 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/798304 A Robust Design Approach for Enhancing the Feeling Quality of A Product: A Car Profile Case Study https://trid.trb.org/View/798303 Tue, 30 Jan 2007 13:28:07 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/798303
