This is particularly important for predicting the behavior of columns—elements where the use of HSC is most advantageous. Different types of stress-strain relationships for HSC have been proposed for the nonlinear analysis of member behavior and for the ultimate state analysis of cross sections of elements under combined flexure and axial load. In this work, simplified rectangular stress blocks for the design of cross sections by different codes applicable to HSC structures are presented. It is shown that those concrete stress blocks can lead to quite different bending moment-axial load interaction diagrams and comparisons between experimental and calculated strengths of 403 tested columns give an idea of the level of safety related to the use of various concrete stress blocks.]]> Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:07 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904319 Influence of Transversal Reinforcement on Plastic Rotation Capacity of High-Strength Beams https://trid.trb.org/View/904316 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:07 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904316 The Galvanic Effect of the Anodic/Cathodic Area Ratio on Reinforced Concrete with 304 Stainless Steel https://trid.trb.org/View/904321 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:07 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904321 Confirmation of a Model to Predict Chloride Ion Penetration with Peak over Time https://trid.trb.org/View/904295 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:05 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904295 Silica Fume for Cement Replacement and its Influence on Strength and Permeability of Steam-Cured High-Strength Concrete https://trid.trb.org/View/904300 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:05 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904300 The Influence of the Mixing Time in the Rheological Behavior of Cement Pastes https://trid.trb.org/View/904310 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:04 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904310 A Review of the Application of Concrete to Offshore Structures https://trid.trb.org/View/904323 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:03 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904323 Static and Fatigue Tests on Ductal® UHPFRC Footbridge Sections https://trid.trb.org/View/904312 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:02 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904312 Parameters for Self-Compacting Concrete Mortar Phase https://trid.trb.org/View/904317 Tue, 17 Nov 2009 14:58:01 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/904317
