The authors use environmental DNA metabarcoding (eDNA) of water, bio-foul and sediment samples to census broad eukaryotic diversity at eight platforms in the Gulf of Thailand (GoT) and five nearby soft sediment habitat locations. They sampled three target depths at sites (shallow, mid, deep) and detected 430 taxa at platforms, with higher diversity in shallow (near-surface) samples (313 taxa), compared to mid (30 m collection depth; 261 taxa) and deep (50 m; 273 taxa). Three percent of taxa were shared among all depths at platforms with distinct assembles at each depth. Introduced species are an ongoing risk for platforms, however the eDNA detected no known introduced species. While the eDNA data provide broad taxon coverage and significant assemblage patterns, ongoing sampling innovation, assay design and local reference material still require development to obtain the maximum benefit of the technique. This study highlights the versatility and scalability of eDNA metabarcoding to holistically census marine infrastructure and inform the management and potential conservation of extant communities.]]> Fri, 22 Sep 2023 09:08:16 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2223497 Risk, trust and reputation in the Norwegian offshore supply chain https://trid.trb.org/View/2132384 Mon, 17 Apr 2023 09:01:45 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2132384 Marine Investigation Report: Breakaway of Moored Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit VALARIS DS-16 and Subsequent Collision with Cargo Vessel Akti, March 12, 2022 https://trid.trb.org/View/2139933 Fri, 24 Mar 2023 13:45:15 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2139933 Addressing Gaps in Offshore Emergency Egress Training Using Virtual Environments https://trid.trb.org/View/1973095 Wed, 22 Feb 2023 09:57:44 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1973095 Temporal decision-making factors in risk analyses of dynamic positioning operations https://trid.trb.org/View/2079658 Tue, 24 Jan 2023 09:30:22 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2079658 New formulation and application of the segment method for extensible risers https://trid.trb.org/View/2014678 Mon, 31 Oct 2022 16:56:56 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2014678 Torsional structural behavior of composite rubber hose for offshore applications https://trid.trb.org/View/2024478 Thu, 27 Oct 2022 13:46:58 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2024478 Failure Analysis and Safety Assessment of Offshore Platform under Different Ship Collision Scenarios by Numerical Simulation https://trid.trb.org/View/2018878 Fri, 14 Oct 2022 08:53:22 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2018878 Determining the optimal method to upgrade shipyard infrastructures for overhaul of offshore drilling rigs using genetic algorithm: A case study for ISOICO https://trid.trb.org/View/1988091 Wed, 31 Aug 2022 09:20:00 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1988091 Conceptual framework for the decommissioning process of offshore oil and gas platforms https://trid.trb.org/View/1987036 Wed, 24 Aug 2022 15:05:30 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1987036 Numerical investigation on reinstallation of jack-up unit with rectangular spudcan close to footprint https://trid.trb.org/View/1938720 Mon, 25 Apr 2022 10:06:43 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1938720
