At dark with or without lights, pedestrian alcohol/drug involvement, pedestrian walking with/against the traffic, and pedestrian dark clothing were detected as key factors leading to crashes. Additionally, pedestrians on high-speed roadways were found to be vulnerable to fatal crashes in dark lighting conditions. A Crash Modification Factor (CMF) from the clearinghouse website was used to conduct the cost-benefit analysis. It revealed a significant effect of lighting, especially in reducing fatal and severe pedestrian crashes. Overall, the result indicates the positive impact of lighting on pedestrian crashes at both intersections and segments.]]> Fri, 30 Sep 2022 11:56:57 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2027019 Relationship of pedestrian crash types and passenger vehicle types https://trid.trb.org/View/1999445 Mon, 26 Sep 2022 09:10:06 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1999445 Short Duration Crash Prediction for Rural Two-Lane Roadways: Applying Explainable Artificial Intelligence https://trid.trb.org/View/1982080 Wed, 22 Jun 2022 09:35:02 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1982080 Collaborative Research Project to Coordinate the Data from the CRASH Predictive Analytics Program Between TDOT and TDOSHS https://trid.trb.org/View/1933221 Mon, 25 Apr 2022 15:51:05 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1933221 Strategies to Address Misreporting of Impaired and Distracted Driving in Motor Vehicle Crashes https://trid.trb.org/View/1905552 Tue, 25 Jan 2022 15:28:55 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1905552 How do pedestrians respond to adaptive headlamp systems in vehicles?
