The authors derived the residential proximity to major roadways from self-reported data, defining chronic multimorbidity as the presence of two or more concurrent chronic diseases. A binary logistic regression model was utilized to investigate the association between residential proximity to major roadways and chronic multimorbidity. The model accounted for some demographic features, socioeconomic conditions, social participation, and health conditions. Subsequently, the authors conducted subgroup analyses to examine potential interaction effects. Residential proximity to major roadways was associated with chronic multimorbidity, even after adjusting for confounding factors. Compared with those living > 300 m from major roadways, the OR for those living 201-300 m, 101-200 m, 50-100 m, and < 50 m were increased. When subgroup analyses were conducted using a cutoff point of 200 m, the risk of chronic multimorbidity associated with residential proximity to major roadways was stronger in participants with education levels > 6 years (P = 0.017). The findings provide important implications for improving residential area siting, transportation policies, and environmental regulations to reduce the risk of chronic multimorbidity caused by traffic-related exposure.]]> Fri, 22 Mar 2024 17:04:52 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2338568 Moderation of people's subjective reactions to road noise https://trid.trb.org/View/2314971 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2314971 Long-term exposure to PM10 and respiratory health among Parisian subway workers https://trid.trb.org/View/2343334 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2343334 Education, incentive, and engineering-based interventions to promote the use of seat belts https://trid.trb.org/View/2325227 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2325227 An application study for the determination of ship-borne noise pollution https://trid.trb.org/View/2342114 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2342114 Emissions of currently non-regulated gaseous pollutants from modern passenger cars https://trid.trb.org/View/2314894 Mon, 26 Feb 2024 08:51:58 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2314894 Health damage assessment of commuters and staff in the metro system based on field monitoring-A case study of Nanjing https://trid.trb.org/View/2338567 Mon, 26 Feb 2024 08:51:58 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2338567 Steering towards the unknown: The wellbeing of long-haul truck drivers during the Covid-19 pandemic https://trid.trb.org/View/2320237 Wed, 14 Feb 2024 14:42:54 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2320237 Evaluating variations in environmental noise pollution of Chennai city using a mobile monitoring technique https://trid.trb.org/View/2326043 Wed, 14 Feb 2024 14:42:54 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2326043 Development of an end-to-end hardware and software pipeline for affordable and feasible ergonomics assessment in the automotive industry https://trid.trb.org/View/2330023 Mon, 12 Feb 2024 11:23:52 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2330023 Effect of Fuel Reformulation on Diesel Particulate Emissions – Application of DNA Adduct Test https://trid.trb.org/View/1782241 Wed, 07 Feb 2024 16:52:59 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/1782241 Pneumothorax and Timing to Safe Air Travel https://trid.trb.org/View/2325998 Mon, 05 Feb 2024 10:25:01 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2325998 Aeromedical Risk of Migraine https://trid.trb.org/View/2325997 Mon, 05 Feb 2024 10:25:01 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2325997 Can job stress, health status and risky driving behaviours predict the crash risk level of taxi drivers?
