The authors derived the residential proximity to major roadways from self-reported data, defining chronic multimorbidity as the presence of two or more concurrent chronic diseases. A binary logistic regression model was utilized to investigate the association between residential proximity to major roadways and chronic multimorbidity. The model accounted for some demographic features, socioeconomic conditions, social participation, and health conditions. Subsequently, the authors conducted subgroup analyses to examine potential interaction effects. Residential proximity to major roadways was associated with chronic multimorbidity, even after adjusting for confounding factors. Compared with those living > 300 m from major roadways, the OR for those living 201-300 m, 101-200 m, 50-100 m, and < 50 m were increased. When subgroup analyses were conducted using a cutoff point of 200 m, the risk of chronic multimorbidity associated with residential proximity to major roadways was stronger in participants with education levels > 6 years (P = 0.017). The findings provide important implications for improving residential area siting, transportation policies, and environmental regulations to reduce the risk of chronic multimorbidity caused by traffic-related exposure.]]> Fri, 22 Mar 2024 17:04:52 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2338568 Characteristics of motorcycle crashes in Thailand and factors affecting crash severity: Evidence from in-depth crash investigation https://trid.trb.org/View/2335415 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:12:17 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2335415 Analysis of Electric Vehicle Collisions in the United States: An Epidemiological Study https://trid.trb.org/View/2325225 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2325225 Injury Patterns Associated With Electronic Scooter Crashes: An Institutional Observational Study https://trid.trb.org/View/2230999 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2230999 Aberrant behaviors of drivers involved in crashes and related injury severity: Are there variations between the major cities in the same country? https://trid.trb.org/View/2340038 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2340038 Motorcycle-related crashes before and during the COVID-19 pandemic: A comparative retrospective observational study from the Middle East https://trid.trb.org/View/2348157 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2348157 Contributing factors on the level of delay caused by crashes: a hybrid method of latent class analysis and XGBoost based SHAP algorithm https://trid.trb.org/View/2338858 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:35 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2338858 Analyzing road user risk perception among Indian drivers on varying curve geometry: A structural equation modeling approach https://trid.trb.org/View/2345031 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:35 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2345031 Near-crash risk identification and evaluation for takeout delivery motorcycles using roadside LiDAR https://trid.trb.org/View/2347410 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:35 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2347410 Network-wide road crash risk screening: A new framework https://trid.trb.org/View/2343585 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:35 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2343585 Investigation on the dynamic characteristic of occupant during the frontal collision between high-speed train and obstacle https://trid.trb.org/View/2343490 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:35 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2343490 Investigating pedestrian-vehicle crashes on interstate highways: Applying random parameter binary logit model with heterogeneity in means https://trid.trb.org/View/2343486 Wed, 20 Mar 2024 10:11:35 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2343486
