It also found that enhancing the nominal maximum size of the asphalt mixture can effectively increase the macro texture, which in turn improved the anti-skid performance. The attenuation pattern of the macro texture index MPD-1 was consistent with the skid resistance, while the micro texture index Rq-2 decreased quickly in the early stage and was remain in the later stage.
