Concerning spatial distribution, ASM concentrations in the port areas were generally higher than those in the urban areas. This disparity was chiefly attributed to the influence of the prevailing winds, local sources, and atmospheric dispersion. Backward trajectory simulation revealed that polluted air masses blown from the northeast in winter and spring, moving along the western in-land part of Taiwan Island, were likely influenced by local sources and long-range transport (LRT). In summer, air pollutants originating from the south were likely transported from the coastal industrial sources. During fall, air masses blown from the western offshore waters transport air pollutants from Kaohsiung Harbor to neighboring Metro Kaohsiung. The results obtained from principle component analysis (PCA) indicated that primary sources in the port areas included ship emissions, vehicular exhausts, and nearby industrial complex, which align with the primary source factors identified by the positive matrix factorization (PMF), which were mobile sources and coal-fired industrial boilers. Meanwhile, mobile sources and sulfur-containing fuel/waste combustion were identified as the primary sources in the urban areas.]]> Wed, 27 Mar 2024 11:52:26 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2305055 Use of unmanned aerial systems for measuring particulate matter in the lower atmosphere in urban areas https://trid.trb.org/View/2317263 Mon, 25 Mar 2024 17:12:13 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2317263 Emission dynamics of tire and road contact particles emitted at the rear of the wheel of a passenger vehicle using on-road experiments on different routes https://trid.trb.org/View/2315021 Mon, 25 Mar 2024 09:54:48 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2315021 Hydrocarbon adsorption mechanism of modern automobile engines and methods of reducing hydrocarbon emissions during cold start process: A review https://trid.trb.org/View/2337922 Fri, 22 Mar 2024 17:05:24 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2337922 Research on the purification efficiency and mechanism for road runoff pollutants in pervious concrete with recycled aggregates https://trid.trb.org/View/2337910 Fri, 22 Mar 2024 17:05:24 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2337910 Study of Air Pollution Diffusion from Ships Based on AIS Data - Survey of the Situation in the Port of Yangon - https://trid.trb.org/View/2352852 Fri, 22 Mar 2024 09:20:42 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2352852 Effects of the turbocharged Miller cycle strategy on the performance improvement and emission characteristics of diesel engines https://trid.trb.org/View/2343844 Fri, 22 Mar 2024 09:20:42 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2343844 Joint gate-runway scheduling considering carbon emissions, airport noise and ground-air coordination https://trid.trb.org/View/2344900 Fri, 22 Mar 2024 09:11:36 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2344900 Valorisation of environmental effects of scientific conferences addressing transport-environment effects: A case study review https://trid.trb.org/View/2317255 Thu, 21 Mar 2024 17:05:26 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2317255 Euro 7 proposal assessment of a Euro VI parallel hybrid electric bus https://trid.trb.org/View/2349279 Thu, 21 Mar 2024 13:24:25 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2349279 Impacts of ship emissions and sea-land breeze on urban air quality using chemical characterization, source contribution and dispersion model simulation of PM₂.₅ at Asian seaport https://trid.trb.org/View/2347658 Thu, 21 Mar 2024 13:24:25 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2347658 Signal synchronization methods when measuring tailpipe emissions with PEMS https://trid.trb.org/View/2350947 25 %) were observed. Those differences depend directly on the physical setup of the PEMS. The dynamic correlation method exhibited the best performance in all cases. When using this method, we recommend to synchronize the CO₂ mass flow and fuel consumption variables first and then adjust the obtained synchronization to other species to account for differences in species diffusivities.]]> Wed, 20 Mar 2024 17:08:54 GMT https://trid.trb.org/View/2350947
