Access to the Chinese market has offset post-September 11 falloffs in business, and the Cathay management team has achieved double-digit cargo and passenger growth. The Chinese government is rumored to be considering bringing Cathay into other aviation ventures. But long-term outlooks aren't as clear because of uncertainty about future routes and markets.]]></description>
