      <description><![CDATA[To increase the productivity of their North Sea service, the Danish ro/ro operator DFDS has commissioned the rebuilding of their 10-year old containership Dana Futura. The operation involved dividing the existing hull immediately forward of the engine-room bulkhead and inserting a new prefabricated section. The increase in length from 145.05 m o.a. to 176.55m o.a. and the increase in deadweight from 6,500 t to 10,150 t will augment the ship's container capacity from 402 TEU to 562 TEU.]]></description>

Cargo capacity is 258 20-ft containers on Mafi trailers and 144 20-ft ISO units on container deck.]]></description>
