Experimental Study and Analysis of Influence of Automobile Service Factors on Fuel Economy
This paper analyzes the influence of automobile service factors on fuel economy. The influence of weather, terrain, and road condition on fuel economy is quantitatively studied. It is concluded that: 1) the service factors for fuel economy are all important; 2) the influence of temperature on vehicle fuel economy is not simply proportional, when the ambient temperature is higher than normal temperature, and the influence of temperature on vehicle is relatively stable; 3) at 10 deg C ambient temperature, fuel consumption increases as high as 45% compared with that of normal temperature; and 4) in different types of road, the fuel consumption on the provincial road is the most efficient, the influence of different road conditions on fuel economy is as high as 30%, and the different driving behaviors can also generate up to 20% of the affection.
