Airport Sound Pollution: Procedures for Attenuation and Use of the Forest for Sound Barrier—The Airport Building of Maringa-PR

Poluicao Sonora Em Aeroportos: Procedimentos Para Sua Atenuacao e o Uso da Floresta de Insonorizacao -O Caso dos Aeroportos de Maringa-PR

The objective of this paper is to approach the problem of sound pollution in airports and around of them, the procedures for attenuation of the aeronautical noise in ground, using the forest vegetation, and the noise of low and medium altitudes in the take off and landing of the airships. The current situation of the two airports of Maringá is analyzed in this paper with respect to these aspects. The materials and methods used involve research of: technical documentation related to sound pollution in airports and sound barrier vegetation; relative laws to the use of the soil in and around the airports of Maringá; and registration in loco of actual conditions of the new airport. Consequently it was obtained initial parameters of aid to its future expansion and internationalization. The paper ends with the advantages and needs of urban and environmental planning on the use of sound barrier vegetation, as well as a proposal of an initial study of implantation of the green belt in the new regional airport of Maringá, in contribution to the protection plan against noise to be developed by the Department of Civil Aviation.
