DEVELOPMENT OF AN IN SITU DYNAMIC LIQUEFACTION TEST
The paper describes a new field testing technique for measuring liquefaction and pore pressure generation characteristics of soil in situ. The test involves direct measurement of pore pressure generation in the field, thus avoiding the limitations of indirect and laboratory evaluations of liquefaction resistance. The results from testing reconstituted field test specimens are presented.
