EVALUATION OF TEMPORARY PAVEMENT MARKINGS IN WORK ZONES
Construction activities in work zones usually require new path delineation. As a result, the application of temporary markings requires the removal of the original permanent markings. To avoid confusion to the driver, the permanent markings must be removed or covered completely, without causing any visible damage to the pavement. This paper summarizes contractor experience and agency survey results with pavement marking materials and removal methods.
