SUBSIDENCE AND SOIL REINFORCEMENT ON LINE 8, EXTENSION MADRID METRO
This paper describes the construction methods used during the drilling of the tunnel for the Extension of Line 8 of the Madrid Metro (2000-2001), section Mar de Cristal - Nuevos Ministerios, along with the procedures used for estimating the induced subsidence and the ground treatment carried out during the construction in order to protect nearby buildings. Finally, a comparison is made of the theoretical and real results obtained in some specific cases.
