SPATIAL SURVEILLANCE OF AND RESPONSE TO BIOLOGICAL THREATS. IN: THE GEOGRAPHICAL DIMENSIONS OF TERRORISM
This paper looks at how geographic information science aids efforts aimed at improving local, state, and national preparedness for a bioterrorism attack. Specifically, the role of spatial decision support systems as a framework for integrating spatial analysis, mapping, and database technology in a common delivery system for improved decisionmaking is stressed.
