ENERGY SYSTEMS AND INFRASTRUCTURES. IN: THE GEOGRAPHICAL DIMENSIONS OF TERRORISM
Energy services are critically important for human well-being and prosperity. They provide comfort, convenience, health and safety, mobility, and labor productivity and employment. Energy supply is expected of our national and regional institutions, and citizens tend to hold these institutions accountable if supplies are insufficient. This paper discusses the threat to U.S. national energy supplies and infrastructure posed by modern terrorism, and offers some suggestions as to how to mitigate the damage done.
