LIMITS OF REINFORCEMENT IN 2002 ACI CODE: TRANSITION, FLAWS, AND SOLUTION
In this paper, examples are presented where the provisions of the 2002 ACI Code on limits of reinforcement in flexural members lead to unintended but erroneous conclusions. After an analysis of the causes of error, a simple, rational, and reliable solution is proposed that preserves the real intent of the Code and is likely to appeal to all users.
