TYPICAL FIELD APPLICATION OF CONSOLID IN TANZANIA
Consolid soil stabilizer has been used with success at several sites in Tanzania. In this paper, the various possible areas of application of this stabilizer and the preferred application rates are discussed. The focus is on the soil evaluation test criteria emanating from typical field representative soil sample selection, the various soil tests conducted, and the results obtained. These results for the different soils are provided and evaluated. The critical theoretical aspects of the consolid stabilization system are also discussed. Conclusions are drawn as to the use of consolid as a stabilizer for road construction.
