ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF A NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER CENTRE (THE CASE OF TANZANIA)
The transfer of technology is a particularly significant factor in determining the future directions of the world at large, and the key role of technology in development has gained wide recognition. A technology transfer center should have the capacity to generate, coordinate, and transfer the technologies themselves, rather than merely transfer equipment from industrialized to developing nations. The aim of this paper is to discuss, in general, the important steps toward establishment of a center for technology transfer. The Centre for Development and Transfer of Technology in Tanzania is used as a case study.
