AN INTEGRATED APPROACH FOR TRUCK CARRIER SELECTION. IN: TRANSPORT LOGISTICS
The aim of this paper is to introduce a decision support system for selecting the carriers that provide the transportation services for a company. A review of some of the relevant transport carrier selection process literature is provided. The paper then presents a decision support system based on integrating the Analytic Hierarchy Process decision methodology and a Mixed Integer Linear Programming approach in order to help select the most feasible carriers. Illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the use of the presented decision support system.
