COMPARISON OF ROAD LONGITUDINAL UNEVENNESS EVALUATED BY PARAMETERS C AND IRI

The paper presents the results of a few years' research activities carried out in the authors' work place and leading to the construction and testing of original equipment for the measurement of pavement longitudinal unevenness. The measuring set called the Single-Wheel Vehicle of the University of Zilina (Slovak equivalent JP VSDS) has been designed on the DMS (double-mass measuring set) principle. The change of a qualification scale of the longitudinal unevenness has been suggested on the base of measurements performed by means of the authors' equipment. The conclusion of their paper is devoted to comparison of longitudinal evaluated by their equipment, measuring vehicle "Profilograph (IRI) and original parameter IAI.
