THE DIAGNOSTICS OF ROAD LAYOUT AND LONGITUDINAL SECTION BY USING OF PROFILOGRAPH

The Slovak Road Databank uses apparatus PROFILOGRAPH for measuring the ruts and unevenness of pavement. In the frame of Slovak Pavement Management System is very important to diagnose the pavement stable parameters. The basic construction parameters of roads are layout and longitudinal section. The PROFILOGRAPH allows observing a spatial character of road by registering of horizontal and vertical curvature and vertical slope. The article describes a system of data processing and parameters evaluating. An attention is devoted to relation beween PROFILOGRAPH measuring and geodetic valuation of same section.
