ASPHALT MIXES AND BINDERS FOR PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE
The most popular technique for road maintenance is surfacing with different types of thin and ultra thin asphalt courses such as: micro-asphalt, slurry seal, surface dressing, cold asphalts and road mixes. The advantages and disadvantages of different asphalt mixes for road surfacing have been submitted to analysis in this paper. This type of asphalt mix needs binder such as emulsions and cut-backs which have good rheological, adhesive and cohesive properties. The characteristics of these binders, according to Yugoslav standards, also are presented here. (A) For the covering abstract see ITRD E104741.
