WORLD TRANSPORT RESEARCH: SELECTED PROCEEDINGS OF THE 8TH WORLD CONFERENCE ON TRANSPORT RESEARCH
The World Conference on Transport Research is widely recognized as the most influential conference of its kind. The triennial meeting brings together managers, policy-makers and academics from around the world in one single forum for the exchange of ideas across all topics and modes of transportation. In its role as a mediator for new research the conference aims to facilitate the link between research results and policy making. The conference proceedings are contained in four volumes. Volume 1: Transport Modes and Systems includes articles on : shipping, ports, aviation, inland waterways, rail, public transport systems, freight and logistics, information systems, intermodalism, etc. Volume 2: Planning, Operation, Management and Control includes articles on multimodal planning, accidents, traffic modeling, urban transport strategies, road pricing, ITS, etc. Volume 3: Transport Modeling/Assignment includes articles on logit, SP, RP, location, activity based, network, route choice and assignment models; value of time, travel demand, environmental impact assessment, social and economic evaluation, etc. Volume 4: Transport Policy includes articles on socio-economic, environmental, spatial impacts of transport, energy and emissions, freight, cycling, airline competition, rail privatization, developing countries, etc.
