NEURODEGENERATIVE ALTERATIONS OF BRAIN TISSUE AND OTHER CONDITIONS INDICATING POSSIBLE COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT AMONG ELDERLY DRIVERS, DEAD IN CONNECTION WITH CAR CRASHES
In an attempt to examine whether the increased risk of crashes depends on normal aging, or the more frequent occurrence of diseases with increasing age, the authors are currently investigating all drivers, in Sweden and part of Finland, 65 years or older, whose deaths are related to car crashes. This paper presents preliminary data from the first 40 drivers from Sweden included in this study.
