DESIGN FOR A TUBE TANKER
The basic concepts underlying the design of the so-called tube tanker are explained, as are the advantages of the design with respect to hull, outfitting and machinery. The design is said to be suitable from 45,000 dwt through VLCC-size and for tankers up to 107,500 dwt at 14.6 draft.
