ENVIRONMENTAL TRANSPORT POLICIES: PUTTING THE THEORY INTO PRACTICE IN YORK
This paper describes the policies adopted and the success of parking as a result of the comprehensive traffic and parking study of York that was begun in early 1989. The steps that have been made in implementing the study strategy include park and ride, traffic calming, cycling, and pedestrianisation projects.
