AMT-PROFILER 2000 FOR AUTOMATIC PROFILE MEASUREMENT AND INDEPENDENT ANALYTICAL OUTPUT PROCESS. LARGE ROCK CAVERNS - PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM, HELSINKI, FINLAND, 25-28 AUGUST 1986. VOLUME 2

For tunnel builders and surveyors, the accurate measurement of inaccessible and not readily accessible points has always been a problem. Over the years, various laborious yet inaccurate methods have been developed and tried. The latest development of Amberg Measuring Technique Ltd, the AMT profiler 2000, incorporates the wild distomat tm dior 3001 for measurements without reflector. The measurement of distances up to 50 m at constant accuracy allows measurement of profiles in big caverns. The instrument features many decisive advantages such as high accuracy, high measuring speed, free selection of measuring steps even during the measuring cycle, high-precision measurement of singular points, easy-handling, etc. The evaluation yields under and over profiles, comparison of effective against theoretical profiles, volume computations, etc. The same instrument scans profiles above ground level such as rock walls in quarries, slopes near roads and railway lines, etc. The evaluation is done on an IBM-PC, Epson printer and HP plotter. For the covering abstract of the symposium see IRRD 810647. (Author/TRRL)
