Data Availability for Measuring and Reporting Transport related Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Chinese Cities
This report looks at ten cities in China and their available data on transportation related greenhouse gas emissions. The structure of city government and its connection to agencies and institutions is outlined, especially as they pertain to transportation and transport emissions. Emissions monitoring and reporting is investigated. Data availability in each city is examined including: street network data, travel demand models, passenger transport data, and energy data. The challenges in acquiring data for emission quantification are summarized and recommendations are given.
