Attention seekers

In order to combat distraction by increasing driver focus and awareness, next-generation in-cabin and surrounding safety technologies are being developed to join forces. Examples of such technologies are presented here, such as in advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) the use of an infrared camera within the interior to detect where the driver is looking, or camera-based lane departure warning systems and forward collision warning systems. Having a digital co-pilot keeps the driver focused and can help to reduce driver distraction as a contributing factor to traffic accidents.
