Restraining order
An active restraint system has been developed that also simplifies the buckling-up process. It is an active buckle lifter (ABL) that moves the buckle to a convenient position and then helps to reduce seatbelt slack, once the passenger is seated, thus stabilizing the occupant in critical/dynamic driving conditions. This article takes a look at its design and testing.
