Automatic road surface properties measuring equipment - tre pavemeter
Automatic road surface properties measuring equipment developed by this company contains mechanisms which make possible the simultaneous (in one pass) measurement of the three factors named in common evaluations of paved surface, rutting, longitudinal profile and cracking. Rutting and longitudinal profile are measured by a vehicle mounted ccd line image sensor and bank of spotlight projectors and two accelerometers. Cracking is measured by a slit camera. Data obtained are immediately analysed by a computer and an estimation of the condition of the pavement's surface properties obtained. Also, the data can be used to contribute to the formulation of rational maintenance control and maintenance and repair plans for paved roads (a).
