Study of Access Importance to Access Management in the Cities of China

In order to provide essential decision-making for access adjustment and reconstruction on arterial roads of Chinese cities, the conception of access importance on arterial roads in urban is proposed, and a novel model of the access importance is established in this paper. Firstly, this paper attempts to analyze access importance from three aspects, such as traffic volume of access, traffic safety of access and travel speed influenced by access. Three indexes are selected in this paper which is regarded as the major difference of access importance. They separately are Traffic Volume Intensity of Access, Traffic Crash Intensity of Access, and Travel Speed Influence Intensity of Access. Secondly, access importance model is established after standardizing the data, analyzing the related-analysis of the standardized data of the access, and selecting effective influential elements, as well as applying the method of objective weights of features. Finally, Huai Rou County in Beijing is chosen for case study, access importance proposed in this paper is applied to ascertain the access for the reconstruction. By collecting traffic data of the chosen road, the model of access importance model is established. The access importance of every chosen access is calculated, and the accesses are divided into four degrees by SPSS software according to the access importance. Then, the decision-making for the reconstruction is obtained. After the micro-simulation analysis of SimTraffic, the simulation result optimized according to the access importance is better than the simulation result not optimized.
