ICT for Cargo on the Road Value Added Services to a Road User Charging System
There is a need to investigate if and how public applications such as road user charging systems for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) can be integrated with other applications to increase user acceptance. The project, ICT for cargo on the road aims to study how public applications for HGVs can be integrated with other applications. This paper describes the process of identifying services that can be integrated to a kilometer tax system, the process of developing prototypes and the conceptual solution on how dangerous goods and traffic information services can be connected with a public application.
