The object of the investigations described is to establish what conditions must be present for icing to occur, find A basis for evaluating when such conditions are present and describe measures that will reduce icing problems. The results obtained are based on field data collected during the period 1973 to 1976 from two test areas comprising 20 different roadbase structures. /TRRL/
