Spain's 20 years in Europe. Regional policy and its impact on Spanish infrastructures

El articulo describe el impacto que la politica regional europea ha tenido sobre las infraestructuras espanolas desde la fecha de incorporacion de Espana a la Union Europea. Analiza las actuaciones de los dos fondos mas importantes. El FEDER (Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional) y el Fondo de Cohesion, y describe la evolucion en el tiempo de la politica regional europea desde la creacion del FEDER hasta la creacion del fondo de cohesion, el Acta Unica Europea, la llamada Agenda 2000 e incluso las perspectivas financieras para el periodo 2007-2013. Este analisis y esta evolucion se detalla por lo que se refiere a Espana y a la importancia relativa que han supuesto las actuaciones sobre las infraestructuras. (A). English abstract: This article describes the impact of European regional policy on Spanish infrastructures ever since Spain's incorporation in the European Union. The author examines the activities of the two major funds, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cohesion Fund, and outlines the development of European regional policy since the creation of the ERDF up to the establishment of the Cohesion Fund, the Single European Act, the Agenda 2000 and the financial perspectives for the 2007-2013 period. This analysis and summary is made with a view to Spain and in terms of the relative importance of these aspects with regards to infrastructures. (A).
