Intersection Design and Timing Optimization Based on SCOOT Information Platform
Based on UTC/SCOOT, this paper establishes the information platform at first utilizing traffic information data sufficiently with statistics and analysis to provide to intersection design. Meanwhile, according to the characteristics of the data, an optimal method combined with intersection design and timing optimization is proposed. With this method, optimal intersection channelization scheme can be given with relevant single intersection optimal timing scheme. This method has been used in the real intersection. This method analyzes the real condition of intersection design and timing to make sure that it is practical.
