THE GATEWAY COMMUNITY TRANSIT CONNECTION BRINGING TRANSIT BACK TO THE NATIONAL PARK EXPERIENCE AT SEQUOIA AND KINGS CANYON NATIONAL PARKS
This paper presents a vision of and conceptual action plan for a proposed transit connection between the gateway communities of the San Joaquin Valley of Central California and the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. As a visioning exercise very early in project development, it was inappropriate to develop findings regarding the feasibility or desirability of specific organizational structures, transit vehicles, routes, schedules, etc. However, some broad themes emerged from the discussion.
