KEEP ON TRACKING
This article discusses the advantages of using a radio network-based tracking system versus a satellite-based one (such as the Global Positioning System) for fleet operators interested in tracking their vehicles. Radio-based systems offer better positioning in urban areas since tall buildings can obstruct the signal from satellite to vehicle. Radio-based systems also offer a more cost-effective method of communicating the position back to the main office. Both systems, however, can enable fleet operators to deploy their fleet more efficiently and to offer better customer service.
